It's something you can't help but notice - the noises in the French countryside. For example:
The cows. They have cow bells, you can hear them for miles. When a herd runs, it's deafening, this from the other day...
And then the birds, it's like NZ used to be, full of birdsong, and every so often you will hear the sound of cuckoos as well. The great thing is, for most of our riding there is no or very little traffic at all, and what there is I'd very courteous to bikes.
